There are videos on YouTube that have female Japanese songs changed into male versions of the same song.  They are obviously using a program to do this, and I don't know about you, but I would also like to use it (I just wish I knew what they were using?).  These songs sound so believable.  If I never heard them before, I would definitely think they were real men singing.  Here are some:

Oooh I know how they do this--its a plug-in, pitch shift. You just shift the song down a few steps into a guys key I do this to all the karaokes I use so they are in my range

Cool!!!  Well now I know!!!  There's this video on YouTube where they change the pitch/tempo of a female singer's song, and it sounds exactly like Ken Hirai...but I don't know if anyone here knows about him.  Here's the link if anyone wants to see it:

I don't really know Boa's songs (I should know)

but Mika Nakashima's male version of Glamorous sky is just "sugoi"!!  I don't know which one I prefer (Mika's or the male's)...Does the guy just have the same voice as her or is it just made by a machine?

Ken Hirai, yes, I know him (he has such a cute voice^^) and what they did is wonderful!! (and scaring too...how can we manipulate so easily people's voice??)

You're welcome!  Yeah, each one of these is done with computer to manupulate the original.  I guess that's why the songs still sound good!!!

Its a wonderful idea...thought of it myself when I first arrived here, but its definitely a lot of hard work   and for that it would be needed a whole new team, as Smithy said.
